I used to get ear infections a few years. I put oil in my ears every couple of weeks - olive, coconut, etc.
Also I blow dry my ears really well after having a shower.

Because the infection was as bad as it was, the specialist wants no water near my ear, nor anythings like candling or hair dryers.

Saw an ear/nose/throat specialist yesterday. He said that there is a lot of scar tissue in my ear as well as there is still fluid behind my ear drum, which is perforated. He wants to give it another 6 weeks to see if my ear will drain by itself naturally, if it doesn't we will have to look at surgery to get it to drain.
