It's definitely different. If there was a crash before the leader crossed the box, then we'd have another restart, but once he crosses that box & there's a crash the next flag, whether white or checked, wins the race. This is the 1st time this has happened. I guess we'll see how it plays out.Quote:

Junior Rebounds With Runner-Up Finish at Atlanta
Dale Jr. raced inside the top 10 throughout the afternoon before jumping from fifth to second on an overtime restart at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Afternoon NASCAR fans. Today's race is in Vegas. Rain has stopped, drivers are getting in their cars. The wind is unbelievably strong which should make for a fun race. The starting line up is as follows;

There will be a competition yellow around lap 30 due to the rain. Heavy winds will hamper the handling of the cars.
Carl will start at the back having go to a backup car.
267 laps/400 miles, pit window 50-55 laps. Pit road speed 45 mph. Debris will be everywhere. Drivers will have to watch their temps.
Wind speed is 50mph & camera men are tethered so they won't blow away.
A bit of rain on the backstretch, they will do another couple of laps then get feed back if track is good to go.
