Joe Gibbs is appealing the severity of the penalties. 1 of the engine con rods was too light by the weight of a dime. it did not give Matt Kenseth any advantage & it was a part that they had no control over. the appeal is waiting to be heard, so both Joe & Matt's crew chief are at the race till the appeal is heard.
