I have a boatload of work to do this afternoon, so decided I'd give Nascar a chance from start to finish. It will be on in the study as I while away this afternoon.

OK - just heard "Gentleman, start your engines" ... what do they say if a female is has a start in the race?

I'm slowly going throught the NASCAR101 tab on nascar.com so I may find the answer eventually - but what's the difference between the Sprint Cup and Nationwide series? Any difference in cars (like F1 vs cart?) or difference in drivers (like PGA vs Nationwide tour?).

Is that the first Ford engine to go today? I suspect we will be seeing a lot of Ford's new engines expiring today.

As far as I know, The Sprint car is slightly faster but looks near identical to the Nationwide. Typically, you come thru the ranks of Trucks, to Nationwide to Sprint.. Some of the Sprint drivers race in the Nationwide cars as well for the experience, money, fame and to bring in fans to the lesser race

Looks like anyone can win this with the right partner.. Ford is running that new engine and we shall see how well it lasts.. Kahne does not give one a warm feeling if driving a Ford..

You could say

This track is known for the "big one".. a wreck that takes out a quarter of the field.. So one strategy is to team up a few friends and stay behind the front pack (where the big one will occur) by about a few seconds. Then in the last 20 laps you can move up and do your real racin for the day..

no way..it's the passin, the strategy.. the racin.. and yes accidents do happen.. You must admit, there is more passing on one lap at this track then the whole season of F1
