Why such a dive for pit road under green?
Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.

this is a track that you need to run with friends nose to tail to get to the front, so you need to pit in packs, so as to come out with your friends for this last? run to the end..
You cannot run fast by yourself at this track..

OK - Just got through the restrictor plate portion of my Nascar101.
Given this is a restrictor plate race and as mentioned in previous posts, this is a "wreck-um" kinda of track, it seems the restrictor has done it's job in keeping cars on the ground. Good thing.
Also, I have to believe that a slight lowering of speeds helps with control and therefore increases successful passing. Therefore restictor plates may have contributed to the record number of lead changes. Another good thing.
Are there "cons" for restrictor plates? - ie why wouldn't these be mandated as part of the overall configuration for each race?Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.

Most tracks are not this fast so restrictors not needed. The con, is the entire field stays in one big pack and so when they get to the time when they feel like they need to make a move.. very soon now, then all hell can and usually does break loose..

NASCAR uses restrictor plates for one reason only. Keep the speeds down below 200 mph. They figure the safety factor is worth it. Only two tracks use it this one and Daytona because these are the tracks that 200mph can be obtained.
