Seems the jet dryer blew the hinge loose
The race has started under yellow. Nascar will talk to the drivers to see when the track is dry enough to go green. Once green, they will race 25 laps to the 1st competition yellow, then they will go green again, then another 35 laps later, they will have a 2nd yellow.
Newman has same problem
The jet dryers are creating enough force to open the cowl flaps on cars as they go by. Both Tony & Brad have received permission to pit & close the cowls, without losing their place.
They are going to try and tape the hood in place
Danica and a few others also with damage
Pit crews are putting barrer bond to keep them closed while they are under caution.
5 more caution laps so far, maybe.
