Yesterday I went over to Future Shop to PM a few of the DVD's that WM had on sale (Last weeks Anniversary sale). The CSR who I believe was a little stunned at the price difference, enlisted one of her co-workers to explain to me that they would just have to call over to WM to make sure that they had sufficient stock (ie. more then one copy) in order for them to actually perform the PM...OK, no problem...
I waited 15 mins for her to complete the call just to be told that they would not infact PM as the items were being sold as a "special offer", but that I could just go over to WM and buy them there...Ummm...ok..?... I thought about doing so but for whatever reason, didn't and just continued about my day.
Later, while relaying the story to my 8 month old, (cause he's very interested) I looked again at the WM flyer only to realize that the words "special offer" were no where in print!! WTH?! And at the very enthusiaitic insistence of my 8 month old, I called the manager. After hearing my rant he told me to come on in, the price would be matched by 110%....Ok...
...
So I pick up 5 movies, Horton Hears a Who, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, Happy Feet and First Season of Golden Girls (ya..lame, I know) for a whopping $26.XX bucks!!

The best deal being Horton Hears a Who, $24.99 reg. PM'd to $2.99!!
So, I asked the the "Head CSR" who was ringing in my score why the previous CSR had misunderstood their policy and denied my request. She explained that because the prices at WM were listed as a "limited time offer", they didn't actually have to PM. The original CSR understood the policy better than I did and I guess the very kind manager either didn't or just felt like being generous and did it for me anyhow....either way, worked out in the end!

For anyone who's interested, the FS policy states:
"Blah, Blah, Blah....
Our lowest price guarntee does not apply to advertising errors or misprints, special educational prices, restricted offers, mail order offers, rebates, coupons, premiums, free or bonus offers, OEM products, limited or minimum quantity or limited time offers, close-outs, liquidations, clearances, financing or other special offers.
Blah, Blah, Blah..."This thread is currently associated with: Future Shop, Guess

Great deals, good for you standing up for your right to sale prices and PM'ing ... love how involved your 8-month old was as well, LOL!
... I'm earning $5-25 Amazon.ca gift cards EVERY month, are you?
P.S. ... starting to hunt for ShoppingChannel GC's with no minimum purchase ...

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't ANY sale price a "limited time offer"? Otherwise, it wouldn't be on sale, right? It'd be regualr price???
As a side note, I used to work at Future Shop. And I refuse to shop there unless it's a KILLER sale, because they have the world's worst customer service. I quit because I got tired of watching them rip off their customers and give them the run-around when it came to returns. Maybe you guys have better luck with your local FS's, but you can't pay me enough to shop them here in town.Last edited by Kaldirris; Fri, Sep 25th, 2009 at 02:09 PM.
Better to remain silent & be thought a fool than to open your mouth & confirm it.

Wow, your little trouble started into a much better day afterwards!
I really love your 8 months old being all ears, shows a good listener.
It's like looking at you as in giving you an advice.
