So today was my first shopping trip at London Drugs ( with coupons) wow what a major learning curve. First and most important thing I learned is never take your kids!!!! My five year old drove me crazy. Second thing I learned was look through competitor coupons first. I didn't do any price matching but I promise I will next time.

    Here is what I got:

    Cascade Action Packs- @$5.99 - 3.50 = 2.44
    2 x Glade Candle- @ 4.99= 9.98- 6.99= 2.99
    Satin Care Shave gel- @2.99- 2.00= 0.99
    Glade Candle- @3.49-2.00= 1.49
    Motrin Muscle Cream- @5.99 -5.00=.99
    Children's Motrin- @6.99-7.00=FREE
    2 x Scrubbing Bubbles- @3.49 = 6.98 -5.00 = 1.98
    2 x Ziplock Bags @2.99 =5.98- 4.99=0.99
    Tax 2.27

    Grand total was $50.81
    I saved $36.63
    I paid $14.18

Even though it wasn't a huge savings it still felt good, stressful but good, next time I will be more prepared and ready to attack lol

Todate I have now saved $46.63 in 1 week of couponing

    Terrific job!
It took me MONTHS of couponing before I worked up the nerve to stack @ LD. But, wow, did I dance out afterward! haha
    Fun, eh?

    Good stuff!
I know what shopping with kids is like. I have a 4month old and he likes to wake up/get upset at the wrong times! And I have very young siblings and they are always running away and putting useless stuff in the cart! Love kids, heh.

It's tough with the kids because you have to check the cashier and every entry and did she get all the coupons in there etc..... Good job on your first trip!!!

WTG!!! I was leary my first time too, but now they know me and its great! One day one of the girls was about to go on her lunch break when i walked in but she waited for me to come pay before she went so she could see what I did/came out with that day, that made my day to hear that she waited for me!!

Thanks everyone, I was so nervous when they were ringing in all the stuff. I felt like I was stealing lol. I was prepared for problems though, I emailed all our local stores and asked what their stores coupon policies and PM policies were, then I printed them off and put them in the binder with my coupons ( incase I run into a cashier from H - E double sticks)

That's fantastic! a great first brag post! and $46 is great weekly savings! That's money that can now be spent elsewhere...on some family fun activities or whatever you need it for! Couponing is the only way to go with a family!

I think that's an awesome first trip...many more to come, I'm sure!! I don't bring my kids, either, because it's just too much to juggle

Great job. I bought 4 of the Motrin Muscle Cream for .99 cents too. It works great. My daughter told me she loves the smell. That's one I have to stock up on, because she'll end up using it all. Thank god for coupons.
