Can you price match Grocery Store prices at LD?

Email response from LD head office re: price match policy:

....London Drugs will price match competitors pricing of items as long as it is the exact same item (model #), you don’t require a coupon or membership or club card to receive this price, and it does not exceed our cost on the product. We are only obligated to price match one item, not multiples (that would be Managements decision depending on what the item is).

So in other words we do not match Safeway or Save on club card pricing items at this time, but we do match Superstore & Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Future Shop etc. as long as the conditions are met....

I tried to PM the Walmart Pepsi deal, 2 for $5 and get the BOGO from LD but was told this deal would not work as the LD deal was essentially 2 for $4.98, even though it reads BOGO in the ad. This was at the Coq Ctr LD. Anyone been able to get the PM AND Bogo at the same time?

However, I was thinking it would be better to PM 2 for $5 and then BOGO it, so you end up with 4 packs for $5 instead of just 2 packs.

A Grade 3 kid will tell you that '$4.98 and BOGO' is cheaper than '2 for $5'. Since you can get them cheaper at LD so there is no PM. A store will PM only when its price is higher than others.
