Belated Birthday Brag

This is my first Brag!


Ok so it was my birthday on the 1st:

My hubby took me out to lunch and even upon my request bought our new chihuahua puppy (Mercury) a fleece blanket and toy set which is on sale at Walmart for $4.00. He also got him a new bag of his treats at PJ's.

(Which btw if you shop at PJ's pets and don't have one of those cards yet you should get one, because of the money back deals... of course all moral issues aside with pet stores, etc...)

I had received 2 great emails that morning!

1. Birthday Gift at Sephora! Yay! So I got their little mascara, eyeliner, and white eyeshadow. (Which I totally needed the white shadow for highlighting, because I ran out!)

2. I knew i was going to get a $10 off at the Body Shop on my Birthday because of my Body Shop Card but when I looked at the email it said they were having a store deal! Hooray because my skin had just become immune to ProActiv and the ProActiv toner I was at my limit with the toner burning my face for the past 2 years. So time for a change!

I get there and this store clerk gives me one of their little Easter cards that says I open it up and it tells me what deal I got on store items. I'm feeling good on this game of chance, I open it and hooray! $20 off on anything over $40 in the store. Wicked! On top of that there are deals all over the damn store.

I grab $50 worth of stuff and head to the counter!

Carrot Moisture Cream 50mL tub
Green Apple Shower Gel 250mL (I almost went with the Satsuma instead...)
Facial Cleansing Gel in Passion Fruit 250mL (For hubby)
Deodorant Stick 75mL (For Hubby)
Body Butter Satsuma 50mL
Body Butter Mango 50mL (Which smells freaking fantastic! <3)

I'm so excited by this time!

I get there and the woman tells me It's $20, off your purchase and $10 again off your purchase and I get a FREE 250ml Satsuma Bath and Shower Gel!

My hubby and I eventually look at the receipt:

He spent $20.34 at the Body Shop and Our total savings in that one store: $55.95!!

That was the big savings for me that day. <3

My mom ended up taking us out for dinner at Jack Astors which I had fish and chips just because I was craving it. (In attendance: myself, hubby, brother, mom's bf, mom, and my little furry boy.)

We get to the end of the meal and the waitress who promised not to sing happy birthday to me and enjoyed talking to us, brings out a dessert with sparklers flaming and tells us that she usually brings out brownies with iced cream, but since she liked us (and she liked my cute little puppy who was sleeping in his carrier) she gave us her fave desse4rt instead free of charge which was more expensive. Some caramel cookie with iced cream and even more caramel on top.

I was soooo in the mood for this giant caramel dessert!

At the end of the dinner my mom gives me my gift and says she got something for me that was from her trip back home: Civet Coffee. I did the research and although rather disgusting hearing that it is coffee beans from the bowls of an animal. I discovered it is the most expensive coffee in the world. @_@ I'm afraid to open the beans, I might save it for another day I get crazy bargains.

I got other stuff too but that was the day's highlight of items!

(Side note: With the ProActiv Toner thing it was because I didn't realize there is aloe in the toner which is why my face was burning, because I have an aloe allergy. )
