Well after posting this I finally got to try it. We were very pleased with what we received. We ordered the large box( 40+ lbs) for $25.00.
We received
10 lbs potatoes
4 lbs carrots
5 lbs apples
5 lbs oranges
3 lbs pears
2.5 lbs grapes
1 honeydew melon
large bunch broccoli
bunch green onions
2 heads garlic
2 lemons
2 grapefruits
5 bananas
2 green peppers
8 tomatoes
2 large yams
1 mango
1 head romaine lettuce
1 cucumber
A nice variety and all very fresh. I roughly estimated how much this would have cost me at my local grocery store and I think around $ 45-50 so I think it is a good deal. Half price fresh fruits and vegetables!

Hi
I was just wondering if you have to fit a certain criteria to order the good food box or if it is open to anyone. We are interested in the good food box as we are always looking to save money, but didn't know if we would qualify.
Thanks

No it is meant to be a cooperative approach to getting healthy food.
i think in some places there is a registratiion in addition to the order fee. But it is very minimal.
As well they are always looking for volunteers to help pack the groceries, etc.

So I ordered for this month and I'm pretty happy... a 10lb bag of potatoes, some beets, bananas, apples, oranges, pears, grapes, broccoli, spinach, lettuce, onions, grapefruit, lemons, a cucumber, huge green peppers..
I think it was worth the $25 (I bought the 40 lb box) It's not alls tuff I would normally buy, but it will get eaten just the same. I'll be getting the June box too
