To all those concerned mothers who would like to make a difference, you can donate some or all of your points to help children in 3rd world countries get clean drinking water!! I am a cloth diapering mamma who was collecting the points randomly here and from friends to help another friend who is pregnant, but after seeing how long it would take to actually get anything, I realized that I could do some good with them insted! I donated all 280 points I had to give over 100 days of clean drinking water to children.
Here's the information from the pampers web-site:
Make a Gifts to Grow Points donation to the P&G Children's Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) program.

The mission of P&G Children's Safe Drinking Water is to provide clean water to children and families. Almost 4,000 children under age 5 die each day from diseases caused by unclean drinking water, which is more than HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and measles combined. P&G partnered with the U.S Center for Disease Control (CDC) to create the PUR Purifier of Water packet, which transforms 10 liters of dirty, contaminated water into clean drinking water in just 30 minutes. The P&G CSDW program partners with over 100 organizations globally to distribute these packets in emergency relief situations and in over 50 countries where there is an ongoing need for clean water.

Help Pampers and P&G Children's Safe Drinking Water provide clean water to children and families. Now through September 30th, 2010, you can donate your Gifts to Grow points* to help provide PUR Purifier of Water packets. 10 points provides one week's worth of clean drinking water for children in developing countries. 100 points provides 50 days worth of clean drinking water for children in developing countries.
