First purchase $50.00 gift card - $50.00 plus 500 points

4 cases of Life Brand Water - $.99 x 4 = $3.96 x 13% = $4.49 but I'm looking at my receipt and she didn't charge me for any of the waters so they were all FREE

4 Life Brand Paper Towels - $.59 x 4 = $2.36 x 13% = $2.67 - no coupon used

4 Crispers Crackers - $.99 x 4 = $3.96 x 13% = $4.49 - no coupon used

Dove Deoderant on sale plus 10X the points - $2.99 x 13% = $3.38 - no coupon

3 packages of Zest Soap (I think there are 6 in the package) - $1.99 x 3 = $5.97 x 13% = $6.75 - no coupon used

3 packages of Ivory Soap (either 6 or 8 in package) - $1.99 x 3 = $5.97 x 13% = $6.75 - no coupon

3 6 packs of pop (:-( because there was only 1 orange crush and I couldn't use my coupon to B2S$2 - but still a good price at $1.99 each) = $1.99 x 3 = $5.97 x 13% = $6.75 - no coupon used

4 packages of Sugar - $.99 x 4 = $3.96 x 13% = $4.49 - no coupon used

Sunlight Dishsoap - $.99 x 4 = $3.96 x 13% = $4.49 - no coupon used

4 Crest Pro Health Toothpaste $1.77 x 4 = $7.08 x 13% = $8.00 - $4.00 = $4.00

Lever 2000 Soap - $2.00 x 1 = $2.00 x 13% = $2.26 - $1.00 = $1.26

4 packages of cookies - $.99 x 4 = $3.96 x 13% = $4.49 - no coupon used

2 baby powder - $2.99 x 2 = $5.98 x 13% = $6.76 - no coupon used

Total spent - $61.23
Total points earned today - 11710 - plus the gift card I bought I used my SDM Mastercard so I think I get double the points on that. If I do, then I got 12210 SDM points today! I now have a total of 62808 points, the most I've ever had!

I also went to shoppers and went to buy a $50 gift card and use it later...but the kid told me i couldn't get SDM points when buying the gift card! Anyone know why? I was using my debit card... is that the reason- should I have used a SDM credit card or something? i knew i wasn't getting 20x the points on the gift card... but why not regular points?

You should have gotten 500 points for buying a $50 gift card. I used the gift card for my purchases and got 20x the points as well. If your not sure, call 1-800-SHOPPERS.

Some cashiers just are under the impression that you won't get points as they have been trained that way. I would just ask them to kindly scan the card.

Nice stuff.... now as far as spending those points I suggest you use them when SDM has those special days when trade in value is worth more points. Example $75 in points becomes $100. It comes twice a year and it is sooo worth it. Also you won't be getting any points on that gift card, they stopped giving points on them 2 years ago.

Great brag!! I love the 20x the point event but I usually find it's super easy to spend $50 at Shoppers without getting much (I'm working on it). You got a lot of stuff!

what do you mean....no points on gift card.....please explain....I am confused.
I got 500 points for buying the gift card and then got the rest of my points when I used the gift card for my purchase. I even called 1-800-SHOPPERS to confirm that I would get 20x the points when using a gift card on a 20x the points day.

you get points for buying a SDM GC not any of the GCs from the 'giftcard mall' that they have except when they have a special promotion for buying those card. The regular SDM gc does still get points and you get more points when you use the card to shop.
