What's with the Kellog's Free Cereal ?!?!

So I noticed some boxes of Vector cereal at Metro today, with the free cereal coupon inside them. I was all happy, I guess these are the free cereal coupons that some people have bragged about on SC. Before putting a few boxes in my basket I checked out the fine print (good thing it was written on the outside of the box). Not valid in Quebec!!!!

Why bother selling these specially marked boxes of cereal in Quebec, if coupons can't be used here!

Wow I had some and gave them away but I never read it. I got mine on Kellog's Special K though. Maybe they were different? So weird.

I just checked my Kellogg's box and yep, that's what it says. That makes me mad! I will be calling and complaining -- why sell them here? Thanks for the heads up on this, super_e.

Says not valid in Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, or Newfoundland. WTH??? That's half the provinces! This is one of those things that so dumb, I have to laugh!

I know the milk is not good for Qc, but I was not thinking for cereal...

I found some with Milk at WM 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Ok, so I just called. But while I was on hold I took another look at the box. It's only the milk promo that is not available in Quebec. (like you thought, 2010ontest). The Kellogg's rep confirmed this -- the milk thing has to do with a provincial law. The other coupons for cereal etc. are fine here.

And I tore open my box just to see the coupon and it doesn't say *not valid in QC*.

Good thing I didn't have to yell at them! lol

I guess when I read that it wasn't valid in QC, I stopped reading to find out what exactly wasn't valid.
Sorry for getting everyone all riled up.
