i only started price matching this year and i've saved thousands of dollars already. price matching is best value for me at zellers where i use my spc vip card which gives an additional 10% off.

to price match at zellers and walmart, you just get in a regular line up and tell the cashier 'i'd like to price match these items'. you have to have the original flyer from the other store. helps to have the pages folded to the item so as to not hold up lines too much. i next to never pay regular price for things now! sometimes zellers cashiers want to rip out the item, but i've had decent luck saying that i'd really like to keep the flyer as is as i'd like to come back to buy more of that item. mostly they say OK!

Thanks for your reply. I will need to find the courage to try it out. My partner is still getting used to the idea of me using coupons while shopping together lol, not sure how the price matching would be received!

Thank you for posting thins. I went to Loblaws today. I think that they said it was an error in the flyer but they let me have the deal. I got 6 boxes for a whopping 50 cents!!!!! I am soooooo happy!

Out of curiosity, did anyone else go yesterday to get some and they had put up a correction notice? I think this deal was really YMMV. I stopped into a Loblaws and they had a sign up that said it should be 2/$3, not 3/$2. I think like many other stores, they must have given away a lot at 3/$2, and realized the mistake.

Our loblaws changed the price on the shelf but didn't actually put up any signs to say the flyer was an error or anything. Glad I went and got my pasta early

I went when the sale was just on, and gotten them at 3/$2.00. Then I went back again two days ago, and it was coming out at the register at 2/$3.00! Cashier was confused (I was confused too because I thought to myself, how can a store who got it right the first time changed it and made it wrong!). Of course cashier called for a "shelf check" and surely it still said 3/$2.00 on the shelf. So I ended up getting 3 free ones with 2 coupons since 1 was free! :D

I also went to Loblaws yesterday (At Bayview and HWY 7) and was told that they won't honour the flyer because they received a correction notice which they had in a binder (was not posted). So I went to WalMart with the flyer and they price matched everything with no problem at all, took my coupons and ended up with a ZERO receipt!!! I was surprised that I didn't even need to pay the Taxes!!!

I actually went to NoFrills first but was told that they do NOT price match Loblaws... bummer
