I am looking for things to do with the kids that don't cost a lot of $. I am not sure if there is a place for this already??
I am in Ontario - maybe we could start a thread for each province/territory???
Ontario
Provincial Park Pass - Summer $100, Year $140
(we buy a park pass every year, it allows you day passes to wvery provincial park, we live close to Springwater park, Wasaga Beach and Awenda,)
Elmvale Jungle Zoo - http://www.elmvalejunglezoo.com/map.htm we buy a family pass, it pays for itself with two visits, they only sell them until June 30th.
Cedar Park Resort - http://www.cedarparkresort.ca/ looks good, never been
Santas Villiage - http://www.santasvillage.ca/ I find it expensive, unless you know someone who can get you group rate tickets.
Any thoughts/ideas

In BC, there is a program called KidsWorld... for $45 per child you get admission to over 65+ days of fun throughout the summer. They send you a calendar where they decide what day you can go to each event...so you need to be flexible. PLUS...with each child pass you buy an adult gets FREE admission to all events.
You can read about it here... http://www.kidsworldprogram.com/events%20calendar.html
I did it two years ago, and the kids loved it - I signed up again this year!! (Playland is on the calendar the first Sat. after Labour Day - going to just this one day is cheaper through KidsWorld than if we had to buy ride passes through 7-11).

Just one more thing...it is geared for school aged children (5-15), they do not allow kids under 4 years old to register.

How about some almost-free things you can do at home? I just made some playdough this morning - I find the stuff in the stores is stinky, sticky and there is not much of it. Here is the recipe I used:
http://www.kraftcanada.com/en/recipe...lay-84438.aspx
It makes a LOT! Unless you're running a daycare and want that, I would halve the recipe into two bowls and use one color packet in each bowl next time (ie: blue in one bowl, red in the other).
