My first real shop with a goal in mind to use only my coupons, here is what I got:

    Zellers:
    cling wrap regular 2.49 50% - .75 coupon = .49 each so I bought 4

    glade candle refill 4.19 on sale for 3.49 - 2.00 coupon = 1.49

    glade candle tins 3.99 50% - B1G1 = 2.00 for 2 tins, I ended up buying 3 and getting 3 free (basically 1.00 each)

I went to London Drugs to check them out but no sale was going on so I went coupon hunting, little value coupons but found some for 3.00 off Biore New Redefining Products

Then I went to Save On Foods, their displays of coupons are so much better than anywhere else I have found, I left there with more coupons than products.

I did find Smuckers Jam (squeezable bottle) on sale for 2 for 7.00 and there is a $1.00 coupon on the bottle itself so really you are getting it for 5.00

Danactive for $5.00 and with my coupon of $1.49 = great deal as they are normally 5.99.

My first trip out with using only my coupons. I guess I can call this a mini brag but my goal is (after reading other posts) learning how to use multiple coupons so items would be free.

P.S. I don't know how everyone else does it but how do you keep your coupon organized and easy to access, I found I spent too much time looking for coupons. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I am new to the scene

Going to a store and only buying what you have coupons for is not always easy, but it feels good to get a great deal. I've been trying to do the same thing!

Just don't make the same mistake I did and start buying stuff you don't actually need simply because you have a coupon for it or you can get it free.. LOL. Even after giving several bottles away, I currently have enough Pledge to last me 3 lifetimes. Newbie mistake hahah.

I organize my coupons in a little plastic receipt wallet I bought at Staples for about $5. I LOVE it. It fits in my purse nicely and has 26 pockets so I have it organized alphabetically. Looks kind like this:

Many thanks for the tips, I'm going to go out and get one so I can get a start on organizing my coupons. You're right, it does feel good to get a great deal but at the end of the day did I really need it all?

Great brag! I am still trying to get the coupons organized, I ended up using one of my daughters zipup binders. I bought different sizes of plastic page inserts to put in the binder, hockey card holders, picture holders and one that is a full 8x11 plastic sheet. I find the hockey card holder is great for the "save" coupons.

Yup, still learning that one. Sometimes I will buy something because its free or close to free, yet I really don't need it. ( I am working on my willpower as I go along!!!!!) haha

Great job. I keep my coupons organized with a plastic accordian type folder that fits great in my purse. It has 13 sections and closes with an elastic thing that goes around it. Picked it up at RCSS for around $4.

Great deals! When I first began my coupon addiction...hmmm...I mean coupon collecting, I used a holder (like the one posted earlier) I purchased from the Dollar Store, but it didn't last too long so I purchased a better quality one from Staples. I usually carry the holder with me with coupons that I know that I will be using for any advertised sales as well as a few extras (for items that I would never pay full price but would consider purchasing if they were on clearance AND I had a coupon for the item). The remaining "overstock" of coupons are stored in a plastic container with dividers for the various categories of coupons (food, household, health etc.).

You did well for a first.

I take out what I need for what store just in case, i.e. to bring what coupons for what flyers.

I used to use a lil accordian style coupon holder but it didn't hold enough!

I just switched to a zippered binder with tons of letter size see thru pockets... Colour coded, and easy to find/ use... It seems to be working so far... And I personally need the huge pocket space as I soon will have way to many coupons...
