Not sure if it's the spacing or what, but Sherwood Park offleash area is fenced. I prefer it to a lot of others since the off leash area is some nice shady walking trails, instead of a big open field.

David Crombie Park is right in the midst of urban development and is a leashed dog park. However, most of the dog owners using the west open end of the park have their dogs off-leash! Considering how many kids are in the area, esp. at the east end of the park at the ball diamond, it is a matter of time for bites or worse to occur.

If coffee shops did not exist with early morning hours, I think there would be fewer clusters of owners standing off to one side of the park while their dogs run off-leash and mostly ignored elsewhere.


In June, there is Woofstock for the dogs and owners to enjoy in the St. Lawrence Market area.

Has anyone been to Pawsway on Queens Quay? I love that place!! Lots of free or cheap events.
