anyone who loved the x-files as much as i did? the movie the made at the end of the series left lots of room for more. well guess what x-file fans there is going to be another movie! i can't wait!

David Duchovny says he and Gillian Anderson are excited to star in the long awaited film version of the hit extra sensory perception-based detective series The X-Files. Creator Chris Carter will direct; the project had been shelved because of a now-settled lawsuit between Fox and Carter. The stars will see a script next week. Anderson has been living and working full time in England for the past several years.
i found this on the msn main page. and the movie has not yet begone to be made so it will probably be another few years before we get to see it.

An anonymous reader writes to let us know that a new X-Files movie is in pre-production, directed and written by Chris Carter and starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Duchovny said in an interview that his understanding is that filming will start in November for a summer 2008 release. The article notes that in an earlier interview, Anderson said the film "would stay away from the series' (and first film's) sometimes tortured mythology" (quoting the article, not Anderson).

i don't know i know they stopped filming in bc and started filming in la when the show was running because of tea leoni davids wife or then wife which ever it may be.

Well just buy all the DVD sets and watch the whole 8 seasons and that should take you til next year when the movie comes out
