On our way home from Cambridge today we stopped at SDM in Stratford to pick up some cards. I always check out Burt's Bees display hoping for a good deal. I happened to notice that the Milk and Honey Body Lotion had a display price on the shelf of $.99. All the rest of their lotion was $15.49.

So naturally I grabbed the last 4 bottles. First bottle rang in at $.99 and the other 3 rang in at $15.49. Cashier simply changed the price on the other three. I did a SCOP on one. Best shopping deal that I have had in a long time.

    Regular cost including tax $70.15
    Total cost to me $3.42
    Savings of $66.73

Is there a trick to it? My husband and I are very date-phobic after one too many bad experiences...

Any help with reading 'date-codes' would be appreciated =)

Some companies products may actually have an expiry date listed while
others have 7 or 8 numbers stamped on their product.

First 3 numbers - the day of the year that the product was made.
Next 2 numbers - the year the product was made.
Last 2 or 3 numbers - the batch or lot code

Kraft Jello and Uncle Bens Converted Rice are 2 examples that use date codes(shelf life of 2 years). You can also phone the companies and they will tell you how to read their date codes although most are the same.
    Hope this helps you.

It's impossible for them to be the same UPC and ring in at a different price. The UPC's had to have been different in some way. Even by 1 number.

The cashier probably didn't even check the UPCs.

Good job for OP for this score.
