Make sure you are organized - seems obvious, but I have heard some horror stories from frustrated cashiers where a coupon shopper comes in and lays all there coupons on the counter expecting the cashier to sort through them all to match the applicable coupons to the appropriate product. I always paperclip my stacks together and then write on a post it note exactly what the total amount is.

I don't get the coupon stacking - I don't see too many different coupons with unique SKUs on them.

Usually, coupons in newspaper, in store, and in internet (like brandsaver, save.ca) have different barcodes

Sometimes you will see the same coupon on save.ca & brandsaver.ca & on coupon pads in stores ...all the 3 coupons will have a different UPC ( bar code ) on them .

Sometimes you will receive a brandsaver , smart source or RED PLUM newspaper insert with coupons , delivered to your doorstep with all the junk mail & flyers that too will have a different UPC than the online coupons .

Even brandsaver.ca ( online ) coupon & the exact same coupon in brandsaver ( newspaper insert ) will have a different UPC .

You can also stack B1G1 Free coupons with the $ xx OFF coupons , these 2 coupons will always have a diff. UPC .

Great question... Unfortunately I live in Ontario and there's no stacking here (no LondonDrugs) - I don't know why... It's not as if the stores do not get their monies back... Oh well!

I'm always super organized with my coupons at LD...I lay all my coupons out on the item, and separate the B1 G1 coupons...but writing the total amount for each item on a sticky is a GREAT idea! I'm going to do that next time, to help the CSA out just a little more. (It'll probably help me too...I always get in the store and forget how much I have and need to recount & recount my total coupons to make sure I'm not over the amount of the product!)
I try to go in during slow times, and make sure that there isn't a line up at CS, makes it a more pleasant experience for everyone!

What if the coupon says one per purchase...or limit one per customer....will LD stack it? What exactly makes a coupon stackable?

2 quick Smartcanucks threads that are "must-reads" for LD stacking:
(click on "forum", then look for each link. )

In "Canadian Stores: Review" - go the thread titles "London Drugs stackable locations - the good and the bad" - it's 7 pages, best if you read them all.

In "Canadian shopping discussion" - go to the thread titled "how to stack coupons at London Drugs - a beginner's guide - again, please read the whole thread - lots of good, current info there.

once you've read those articles - you have all the info you'll need.

one thing I recommend, at home, go through your coupons, look at each flyer for pricematching back to LD, then work out your deals with a calculator to find the best ones. Some deals can be worked different ways, and actually work better in multiples.

(You may want to invest in some paperclips & sticky notes from the dollar store. As well, binders and clipboards to carry your flyers for price matching are easy to find cheap at your local thrift store.)

Please. ... always be polite, ......if LD turns down a certain stack of coupons or price matching to a certain store, accept it graciously, and return those items back to the store shelves if you don't purchase them. (The final decisions rest at each individual store's management level.)

We all have a vested interest in seeing London Drugs offer coupon stacking for a long time to come.
