These coupons look very similar , both are for $8 but have different UPC codes. I tried to stack them at the St Albert LD and was refused. The cashier said they were the same coupon. I thought as long as the UPC were different I could use both

Yep, as long as the UPC codes are different, you can stack them.
I was at LD yesterday, and my CSR had never dealt with stacking before, so she asked her supervisor, who just happened to be at the next till. The supervisor said "You can stack coupons as long as the UPC codes are all different, and they don't exceed the selling price. You can't give her money back."
If you have more of those different UPC coupons, try again, but ask for a supervisor.

Some stores will allow it but on the actual policy it says you can only use 1 from each type of source like MFC, newspaper, printable, save.ca etc
Are you trying to use 2 of the MFC from coupon displays? The supervisor might say no

I have that same letter from HO about the upc's being different. I use multiple coupons from save.ca all the time, and they are accepted as long as the upc is different on each one.

I was at Mission LD and in the end they accepted my 2 3.00 ones but they were not happy about it. I said they are 2 different upc's and he was like well not really but anyways just do it. I was like OK. But the Abbotsford LD is wonderful for taking all different UPC

I've had no trouble using coupons from the same source with different UPCs. I use multiple save.ca coupons all the time.

I was able to use similar coupons with different UPCs. They sometimes try to put up a fight but when they realize I know the policy they ring them in.

I don't understand how LD gets away with this. The coupons all say cannot be combined with any other offer, etc. I'm sure once the manufacturers catch on to this, it'll stop.. they're the ones losing money.

i have a friend who worked there..to the store it makes no difference if they accept 1 or 5 from the same person... from what she told me is it doesn't matter because the store sends a lump sum of them back to the manufacturer to get reembursed and doesn't see the reciepts..
