Wow, super short notice from SDM this time but I'm in too, waiting to hear about the SC groups to sign up.

I don't understand the Refer a Friend event thing at all LOL I am totally confused how the group thing would work via SC - and how many points you'd end up with in the end.

IF I can figure it out - or you can point me to an old thread - I'd help to organize the groups (perhaps).

It sounds like the way it would work would be:

1) An SCer is the leader - thus they are the person who signs up via the SDM website.

2) Then 10 SCers are added under their account.

3) Everyone spends their $30

4) The leader ends up with 88000 SDM Points - each SCer in the group ends up with 8000 in their accounts

5) The leader keeps their 8000 they earned - then divides the remaining 80000 among the 11 people (leader + 10 group members) which is about 7270 SDM points...

6) Each person ends up with about 15,270 SDM points...

Do I have this correct??

Are people allowed to be directly referred by more than one person?

I just want to know what the strategy is to maximizing SDM points

Yep, you're right. I think that was how it worked last time. I think the leader got a bit more though, not sure.
