Thanks for "Memory" Deal

I have to say that I'm thankful for the "Memory" on my computer.

It was 7 years ago tomorrow - in case you don't have a reason to remember - that ALL THE ELECTRICITY WENT OFF ACROSS SOUTHERN ONTARIO AND THE NORTH-EASTERN STATES!

I remember it was just after 4 pm because I had just finished a major report for my school and pressed "Save" just as the computer went down!

Needless to say, I had to go in the next week to RE-DO the report as it never got saved - But, luckily - it was there, at my school, that an old boyfriend who was currently living in FLORIDA but visiting his family in Ontario caught up with me. - We hadn't seen or talked to each other for 38 years!

Well - to make a story short - here he is snoring in the chair across the room - my husband of 6 years! What a sweetheart!

So "Thanks for the Memory"s!

Aww...that's so nice...

What I remember most about that blackout was sitting down with the head chef (I managed a restaurant at the time) and eating an entire caramel pecan flan...mmmm mmm mmm...then we washed it down with a couple pints... Couldn't dare let the pie and beer go to waste!

We were also vacationing out West that year but we certainly heard about it. We were driving through BC when it came over the news.

Nice story...that was 7 years ago already!!! Time flies. We heard there was a section a few towns over that had power, not sure how that happened, but anyway, we went to the pub there to watch tv and eat for a few hours, then came home and checked up on some of the older neighbors. DH offered out almost all of our garden solar lights for them to use in their houses.

Oh sweet story! Congrats!

I had just left the Bank machine & driving across town & all the traffic lights were out...lol Didn't know what happened until I got to my friend house! Luckily I got power back late that night but some didn't have any for 3-4days & lost all their food! yikes!

So sweet! I remember this as my first born daughter was only 1.5 months old and I remember it being sooooooooo hot and we had no power for almost 1.5 days! It was awful!
