The antique stores in Thedford are my and my DH's favorite road trip! So cheap and great finds!
He found a bunch of BNIB GI Joe's from the 80's. Original Care Bears and I got 8 Bossen Heads for my dad who collects them for .25 Cents each!!!
These are very expensive to purchase and my dad always brought one home from Germany when he went.

I would suggest to everyone, if you are ever in the area, go visit this tiny town! Great deals and finds!

Thanks for suggesting how to get info on how to clean it. I hadn't even thought of how to clean it yet, and surely I do not want to do something to ruin it or it's value.

For those wondering about the antique shops in Thedford. I went to the Pearl Street antique shop to get the chest, and it is open Friday to Sunday only. It is right on the main street almost across from the grocery store. The gentleman helping me there was very helpful and told me he gets new stuff in each week.

There is a 2nd antique shop in Thedford called (I believe) "The end of the road." I did go in there also and didn't get anything. They do have a haggle barn behind the shop that looked like some cheap stuff. Nothing was over $10.00. I think they are open Thurs to Sun. It is right on the main street where it end at the "T" intersection.

For sure I will return to both shops and will keep you updated if I find any deals. I go through Thedford about twice a month so if your looking for something just let me know and I will check it out for you.
