BTW the first instalment of the HST rebate cheque aka bribe is going to be deposited in your bank ( direct deposit ) or going to be mailed to you on June 10 in Ontario .

$ 100 for single & $ 334 for couples .

The remaining 2 instalments will come in December 2010 & June 2011 respectively .

The ON gov. is calling it a TRANSITION cheque & not HST rebate cheque

Thanks! I heard this on the radio yesterday. Free $100 cant complain since they are screwing us up the butt anyways. BTW its only if you sumitted your taxes on time. If you didnt sucks to be you, you get 0$.

You also don't get it if you earn too much. We get zip even though we filed on time.

Eligible families - including single parents and senior couples - with an annual income below $160,000 will receive three payments totalling $1,000. * Eligible individuals with an annual income below $80,000 will receive three payments totalling $300.

Good thing this isn't a tax increase.

Ahh the Bribe. I heard for families making under 160k get their 3 installments as such:

June 2010: $330
Dec 2010: $330
June 2011: $340

Regardless I have reduced myself to exactly what Ricki911 said above, the Government is going to do what they want to do and they want this HST no matter how much I hate it and the rest of Canada hates it, so gimme my damn money and move on. Does it shut me up? Nope. Do I still not agree with it? Sure do, but whatever.

Actually, not true. I looked into this and you have to file your 2009 taxes by April 2011 to receive it - you just won't get it on time like everyone else.

No it will come by the 10 th or thereabouts as they have already started mailing them out this week..& all the mailings are supposed to be done by the end of this week .

For Direct Deposit it will still be June 10 .

I wished I was in ON to received a cheque. BC gets nothing
