Thread: Optimum points for prescriptions

Wondering if you get Shoppers Optimum points for prescriptions when you use BC Pharmcare and you have paid your personal amount for the year so the drug cost is paid for by the government? I was going to transfer our prescriptions, but if I don't get any points now I'll leave it until the New Year.

Do they give points on prescriptions in BC? Not every province does.
Here in NS, my prescriptions are 100% covered by insurance, but I still get points.

NS Shoppers Drug Mart locations offer Optimum points on the full value of the Rx + several months ago they offered coupons for a bonus 6000 points with each Rx that was filled. I have a drug plan through work so earning points for free is awesome

It varies by provincial law. Call SDM and ask. In Alberta we get the points on the full value of the Prescription. Even though my Rx is covered by insurance and I pay $0 out of pocket - The points are all mine
Coupons = Little pieces of paper you get FREE from the stores, from reps and from companies (ie: Not gold)
