So I discovered this week that my mom had over 147,000 points, she wasn't even really aware of what that meant
She had a Shoppers Visa so that's how she managed to rack up all the lovely points
Once she realized how much she could spend she was on for a little shopping trip. I had 40,000 points to redeem too
I was looking for the Sony ipod docking station and it took us 3 stores before we finally found it. I got my things rather quickly and then we began my mom's massive spend
I'm just working off the top of my head but this is what she got:
-2x Vitamin C
-CoverGirl Pressed powder
-Large Aveeno Lotion
-Maybelline Lipstick
-Turtles Chocolate (for me too
-Bacci Chocolates (for me for xmas, hee hee, saw my present
-Lindt chocolates
-2x After Eight Sticks
-Box of After Eights
-2x Orange Chocolates
-Large Kinder Egg
-Source Yogurt x1
-2x Oatmeal
-2 drinks
-Magic Eraser
-A bunch of cleaning products
-Pilates Set of mats and resistance stuff (for me for xmas
-Large Bottle of Water
-2x Pantyhose
I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things but that's the gist of it
She first redeemed for $200, then for $100. It went so smoothly, we were both a little nervous as neither of us had ever redeemed for such large amounts and she's never redeemed at all. She started off slow and at one point we decided to add up what we had because she was sure she was at $300 and we were only at $225
So off we went to get another $75. She was giddy by the end of it
I wish I could have seen my dad's face when she came home with all that stuff and told him she only spent $30
She's not employed at the moment so I think it was great that she was able to get so many xmas gifts for NOTHING
And it was great for me because she drove me all over the city so DH didn't have to, because he wouldn't have, he hates crowds
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My redemption was pretty good too, got what I set out to get so I was pretty excited
1x Sony ipod docking station on sale for $69.99 (sweet!!!!!!!!!!!)
1x Maynards All Sorts $8.99
1x Twilight Lipgloss $20 something
I redeemed $100 and paid $14. LOVE SDM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to start saving again so I can redeem super big next year

I think she was pretty happy
The chocolates were all gifts that she likely wouldn't have been able to afford to get us this year (man, chocolate is expensive!!!!) so that was nice
And my gift was free so that was pretty awesome
I thought my dad would be more excited but I guess he can hide it pretty good
I guess some men just can't appreciate amazing deals, oh, well, more deals for us
