Thread: SDM to the rescue!

I'm currently laid off but thanks to SC we'll still be able to have a good Christmas with the kids and loved ones...
First, I used the 20X the points at SDC a few weeks ago to get my points up to 75K (not much I know... I heard from a cashier there that a woman had been in earlier with over 1 million points!).
Anyway, my s/o and I went on Saturday to get the 75K=$200 deal... allowed us to get lots off stocking stuffers for the kids, gifts for my mom and 3 friends, and over $70 in much-needed stuff for the house. And using my RBC points and deals I've found on SC, we've been able to save over $300. That has helped a lot.
All that just for buying things we need anyway. My s/o couldn't believe it... I think she's finally beginning to see the beauty of collecting points and going to SC!

SC is amazing. It's like a new way of living. I'm always amazed at the number of people who refuse to use a coupon or shop around for a deal. Oh well, more savings for us, lol!!!

Thanks everyone!
Wow, everyone's so nice here! It's very refreshing! I don't know where all you nice, thoughtul people are hiding, but you sure weren't in the mall last weekend when I was Christmas shopping.
And thank you to the people who added to my reputation (for this and another thread). I'm still figuring things out here on SC, but I've figured out that's a good thing and that I should be thanking you for it. So thank you!

Every single thing under my tree will be free this year. I got $400 in bonus redemption at sdm (got wii stuff, books, candy, a piano, cd's, etc) and still had $75 for household stuff. Plus I have won a bunch of stuff under the contests forum on here that will be under the tree (olympic hats, crayola stuff, soccer ball). I can't wait for the kids to open it all and me to tell my dh it was all free. It's very exciting.

I am very happy to hear that for you, sounds like things are tough for you right now but you are still making the absolute best out of your sitution. SC has saved me loads of money I can't even imagine where I would be without it and I have been on for a year or so. Quite the family we have going on here.
