Cineplex screening that didn't go as planned, so got freebies plus more today!

So we got up at 8am this morning and got to the theatre downtown just after 9am to see a FREE 3D screening of Legend of the Guardians:The Owls of Ga'Houle.
First off, went to Starbucks to redeem my card for a free Pike Place coffee...she asked what size (I thought it was only for a tall) and of course, I said a large one!then off we go to line up and get in and seated at about 9:40am. They really started late (10:20am)with drawing for the 3 top prizes. The bonus prizes were if you find a green egg in your cupholder, you get to win either a t-shirt, backpack, or book in which you turn in outside after the movie at the arcade area. We didn't get an egg in our cupholder, BUT a nice lady beside me, tapped my son on the shoulder and said "here, you can have this, we don't need it"so we said thank you so much! So we wait and wait and wait for the screening to start, and after about 20 minutes, one of the theatre managers told everyone they were having problems with starting and were on the phone to like 8 different people to see if they can fix the problem. So fine, we thought, shouldn't be long.....but in another 1/2 hour or so, they said, they still haven't figured out the problem, but realizing that some people may have other engagements to go to, offered movie tickets to any movie (including 3D) if we can't stay. So I asked my family if they wanted to stay, and we did a little bit, but it got to be another 20 minutes waiting and I thought, now it's getting too late, so decided to just get the free tickets and go another time. My son redeemed his egg for a yellow t-shirt promoting the movie. We head out and were given a postcard to check out the grand opening of the new YMCA just across the street. Well, we ended up checking it out and got freebies from the radio station Virgin 95.3FM on location. Then we continue on as we were to meet someone to buy some Lego Series 2 minifigures to complete the set....ended up buying an extra Spartan $4.50 as pictured cause my son wanted to open it up already!
All in all a good day, so my haul for the day for free:

That's happened to me before. My mom and I were at a movie that started VERY late and they offerered everyone (even those who stayed for the movie like us) a free movie pass My mom rarely goes so she gave me hers
