Expired on: Wed, Dec 1st, 2010Update: It appears the program is expanding to Metro's throughout the Quebec province starting Sept. 30...check your postal code on line to see
I was excited a few months ago when I heard that this loyalty program for shopping at Metro grocery stores in Quebec was introducted in the Quebec City region. Now it's coming to Metro stores in greater Montreal - so you can earn points to get money off when you shop The program starts Sept. 30 according to the website in the Montreal area.
You can sign up now and get 100 bonus points for signing up plus 2 double your points coupons that expire on October 13. You receive a temporary card via email to use until your card comes in the mail I'm excited - I already signed up!

FYI - If you go on their website and look at the flyers for Quebec CIty - you'll see they do TONS of bonus points promos every week so the points will add up faster
Without bonus points, the point to $$ value ratio is 10 Points = $0.08. Good to know when you're looking the flyers and see those bonus points listed such as 50 BPs which is equal to $.40 back essentially."You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi

I'm hoping this will reach areas outside of mtl and qc. metro is the only grocery store where I can use coupons in my neck of the woods. They are even more expensive than the ON metro's. Extra incentive would make shopping there more appealing

Does Metro not do Air Miles in Quebec? I'd really like this much more than Air Miles, where you have to spend $20 to get one Air Mile.

Just saw the Metro flyer that starts Thursday - its has lots of Metro & Moi bonus points deals. I'm interested to see if this loyalty program will be worth shopping at Metro every now and again.

This is excellent. It kind of reminds me of the Thrifty Foods rewards program in BC. I loved that, nice to get money off your groceries every once and awhile after the points have added up. Of course it remains to be seen how fast the metro points will add up.
It already seems better than airmiles though. You get what 3 when you shop usually at IGA unless you buy a lot of bonus stuff?
