I am kind of choke because I redeam a 64gb I-touch and instead I got a $50 dollar amazon card! They stated in there email that: we cannot restock your prize in a reasonable amount of time. Hey! If I would have to wait longer for my prize I would of been more then happy to wait for it!

I wounder if I should email heykathy and ask if I can still get my prize but willing to wait for it to be restock?

why is the site always down when I check it is like some sort of curse or something...?

It's been down all night for me, they are updating most likely, now that they have mailed out the order confirmations, they are probably adjustments point balances.

I tried to log on yesterday and I got the same thing that the site was down for maintenance it makes it a little difficult to collect points if the site is always down...

Ya, I haven't missed a day of daily questions since I started on lockerz, I just keep checking throughout different times of the day.

Canada Post seems to randomly put customs fees on things that are shipped to Canada from any other country. I know because my friend sent me a poster for my birthday that cost her about $8 and they wanted to charge me about $12 to get it. It's really a shame how they operate. In Lockerz terms and conditions it also states....

Members are solely responsible for determination of any tax or other fees, service charges or liability arising out of earning or redeeming PTZ. Compliance with laws and tax codes of any country, etc...

So they basically warn you there of charges even though they absolutely suck. Especially when it's a gift. For the larger items though I would imagine more service charges like laptops etc...

Actually, they shipped with UPS which I guess is known for ridiculous brokerage/random fees for processing orders. I was just kind of surprised, since everyone has always told me that Canada is free as well.

ya the queston of the week hasn't been updated yet. I always do it at midnight so my routine is all off. I thought maybe the redemption was up since the site was loading so slow, but no.

Oh that's right! My mistake. I'm not really sure how UPS works. I know there is sometimes customs fees for other courier services. If you lived in the U.S. that would actually be the place that is free to receive. Since we're out of country we can be charged ridiculous things. So it's not actually Lockerz charging you, it's the company who is bringing it over the border for you.

I logged out and in to check if the daily question had updated and I LOST 4 points..weird.

So... redemption is still some time this month? and point amounts for redeeming will go up for the redemption after this one? is that right?.. I am not sure what I am going to do. It's better to redeem but I won't have enough for a laptop. I could get an elph camera...

Everyone else who got that email was told that their points would be refunded, and as a goodwill gesture they would be receiving a $50 amazon gift card.

Check that this is the case before complaining, as if so you've got $50 for nothing, and you can still try next month to redeem for it again, as you'll still have the points to do so.

Below is the email someone else received which sounds like you got the same one;

Dear Z-Lister,

Thank you for your patience as we spent the last two plus weeks sorting through all prize redemptions that have been impacted by our technology glitch during the November Z-list only redemption. These orders were very difficult to research because they were missing critical information including exact product information or a receipt number. Plus, in some cases PTZ had not been deleted from members' accounts.

While we were able to recover and fill the vast majority of those orders impacted by problems, the item you ordered was so over-redeemed due to the tech problems that we cannot restock your prize in a reasonable amount of time. We are truly sorry to let even a few hundred members down despite filling thousands of orders in one redemption.

To show you how truly sorry we are to disappoint you, we are fully refunding your PTZ (if they were deleted in the first place) as well as sending you a free gift card for $50 to amazon.com. This is our way of showing you how much you mean to us. These will be sent in e-card form to you shortly.

We are also going to allow all of your PTZ to stay valid a full 30 days longer than the normal 12 month period so you are not penalized in any way for missing a redemption.

Beginning with our next redemption, we are introducing a whole new system that should avoid and fix the tech issues that have plagued our previous efforts. As you may know, we're a very young site that's still in beta, and the redemption process is still evolving. While we're grateful and appreciative of the many members who complimented the progress we made on this redemption, we will remain dissatisfied and will not rest until we provide a bug-free, reliable experience to each of our founding members on Lockerz.

Again, our apologies, and please enjoy your gift certificate.

PS: I never ever cheated... OMG this is so wrong... I had more the 700 points left... is this the way of saving theyr ass due to the F$$$ up they did???

Wow...I got the exact same email...and of course, I never cheated either. I just can't believe all the hours I've wasted on this site.
