Jode this sounds very positive and I am happy to see you will be getting out of the house with this new job. It is amazing that they are so accomodating and understand what is going on. Some people would be real a$$es about it but sounds like you have a great team there. As for hubby, maybe he will now appreciate you more and see how much his depression is affecting everyone and he will get the help. You being out of the house may help him too.
It is emotional abuse and many of us women take it mostly for the sake of our kids. I see that in my mother alot she took alot of from my dad with gambling issues and just doing everything to get his hands on money but once we were older she put a stop to it and said Get help or get out cuz I don't need you like this anymore. She had had enough of it all and now they are fine because he conquered his addictions even though we are all still scared if he gets his hands on money again it will be over so he is limited to his pension which barely covers the utilities and housing costs for them.
Jode in a nutshell you need to care for your son and yourself. Pamper yourself and focus on getting your new job in order and enjoying it.

I think they have set limits of what salaries you have to be paid and all that junk I dont think I would join a union unless I landed a lot of work and needed to join to get the better stuff otherwise I dont think I would since it eliminates a lot of work that you could be doing

Jode--I totally agree with amy this is a step in the right direction for you, getting you out of the house away from the problems. I really hope this will make your husband see that he does need help. Good luck with the new job. :-)

Grease auditions are sat! I'm pumped and also scared LOL
hoping I picked the right song running it through a few times I'm never confident with the songs LOL I always seem to sabotage myself somehow, probably cause my mom is too critical if I mess up a note I never hear the end of it LOL and she tells me all the time my sis is a better singer LOL so I practise when no one is home
