Havent been kicking around. Been busy working and such useless stuff.

My parents are still up north and wont be back till Monday. My sister and brother will be going up Friday. I have to work so I get the house to myself for 3 days.

Im off again. My grammas taking us out for dinner tonight LOL I think she think my parents are staving us.

my dd is watching the movie Grease..she is 10 and huge into musicals anyone on here know of anyother musicals she would like..she has watched mamma mia and loved that as well

there's always grease 2 or highschool musical, hairspray, jump in. (i loved mamma mia and chicago but chicago is rated 14A)

yeah she has seen all those ones , or owns them I should say..except chicago..I would prob watch that and see what it was and in it. She has seen a few with that rating but dh and I watch with or watch before she does to see if should let her.

Chicago has a great soundtrack, but there are a couple of risque scenes. Well, not scenes so much as folks mentioning naughty things they`ve done.

There`s also Evita (there are a few scenes of her, um, flirting her way to the top. Nothing graphic, tho.

My friend knew all the words to every song on Grease when she was a bit younger than your DD (she dragged her Mom out to the theatre to watch it 32 times!). She didn`t see the film again until it came out on DVD a few yrs back. Boy was she shocked at how many things went right over her head when she was a kid. :lolsign:

Sweeney Todd is really dark & creepy, but the music is pretty. & it has Johnny Depp. :)

Dirty Dancing isn`t a musical per se, but has lots of good music in it.

There are a couple more I`m thinking of, but I can`t remember the titles off hand. I`ll have to go digging in imdb.

I really liked Moulin Rouge, but it's not exactly suitable for a 10-year-old. Did anyone mention The Sound of Music or Fiddler on the Roof?

Yeah Grease has a few parts I forgot about, but have either gone over her head or she just blushes..lol..she knows more already then I did at that age but still ..lol..

Yeah I own the Sweeney Todd one not sure about that one yet..and gonna look for Dirty Dancing figure she will love that one.

Not exactly musicals, but any of the Disney cartoons are pretty tame - although The Hunchback of Notre Dame had that one scene that I swear was put in specifically for oversexed boys (fire turning into dancing girl :omg:).

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang & Mary Poppins, both have lots of music.

My Fair Lady is pretty tame & has a great soundtrack.

There are still a couple of titles I can't remember. Maybe they'll come to me in the middle of the night. :)
