kekes, said a prayer your eye heals quickly!

I have to tell you guys something hilarious! My nephew is 16, and a very small guy, he came in my house the day after I posted about the "non-star bellied sneeches" and the little nut had a little star on his belly beside his belly button, and I cracked up, He had no idea about the star bellied sneeches comment I made the day before, but I asked him if he is a star bellied sneech now, he laughed and said yes, he's gonna get it tattooed there so he can be a star bellied sneech all the time. I'm not sure if it was a temp tattoo, or just drawn on with a marker, but it was funny!

thanks for all the words! I am almost caught up! been very busy with the kids and medical tests, lately, so I don't get to come into the forums as much. Thanks everyone for the words!

I must have missed your post about the Sneeches while I was being sick, Canjen..
That is one of my favorite kids stories! When I was at Julliard we had to write our own short play for one of my classes based on a favorite childhood story, and I chose that one I considered having a star tattooed on my tummy too, so if your nephew does that, I think it would be very cool.. lol
I would still get it, but my hubby says if I get one more tattoo he's going to leave me.. lol!

I love being a wife and a mom, but let me tell you, women get the terrible, sharp pointy end of the stick when it comes to health problems. I couldn't imagine looking forward to a surgery before this, but like you said Canjen, I cannot WAIT. By the way, your avatar photo of your daughter is freaking ADORABLE!!

Goodnight all.. maybe I can stay off the arcade tonight but I doubt it
Oh, yes! I said the same, and at least after labor, you have a beautiful baby! And, not to offend any men here, but, a Pastor that I have watched on tv has said many times that God created women stronger, because men couldn't handle childbirth, the human race would die out after the first man gave birth. Because, he'd tell his friends, they'd tell their friends, and no other men would try it, lol. He said women have babies because men couldn't handle it, so don't try to tell him that women are weak. I have a lot of respect for that man!
Hope you are healing and recovering well! I was reading back through pages, I haven't been on alot, my kids have had to have some medical testing, doctor appointments, car problems, sigh, so I haven't been on alot. thank you so much for complimenting my sweet little angel. she is such a sweet little girl (spoiled too, she's the only granddaughter, in my family. My sister and I have 2 boys each, and the boys all spoil her!)

thanks for the mystery word, seekthetruth

lol, LOLCAT! (was about to post the above, when I saw your new post!)
it was when everyone was talking about getting their stars a few days ago, and that story came to my mind, because I have no stars, so I said I am a "non-star bellied sneech" everyone else has stars upon thars! I love the story, It has such good lessons to it!

Shame on your hubby! he should love you no matter how many tattoos you have! i have none, childbirth, pinched nerves, gallbladder pain is enough for me, I can't imagine suffering for the fun of it, even if I end up with a really cool tattoo in the end, I am a chicken, big fat fluffy chicken. My nephews, and husband want tattoos, I'm too chicken.

I hope everbody's injuries, ailments and warwounds heal quickly!
I'm still on a waiting list for another 6 months for physiotherapy for my 3 herniated disks.
I've already been waiting 9 months for help! SOS
Oh well, at least they keep me nice and doped up while I'm waiting but I'm going to need rehab after almost 2 years on these pills!
My Doc keeps saying, "Well you can pay for private sessions at the many clinics in our city"
I can't afford $50.00 a half hour session 4 times a week! What's happening to our medical system?
I find less and less is covered these days......
Sorry I totally got off topic..... I don't usually rant........ must be all the medzzz...

Shannaniganz, I feel your pain, no pun intended.

I'm a distance runner and have been out of commission now for 2 and 1/2 months due to a calf injury. As of now I'm unable to run, bike, swim, or even walk, and have been put on "bedrest" (though this isn't possible because I need to work). So, of course, I'm going stir crazy since I'm so used to being outside and being active. The problem is the fact that I work to pay for my physio bills. This week alone has cost me $275. I'm a student, on a very low income, and need to pay for rent, bills, groceries, etc. I'm on my own and it's so tough. It's easy to get down.

I hope you feel better soon and get the treatment you need. Our medical system has gone down the tubes. I'm currently waiting on an ultrasound to see if anything is torn. You'd think that after 2 and 1/2 months I'd know by now. No dice.
