Lol. You girls had a lot of fun with out me. First I had to go to town to calm mother in law down. DH's niece threatened to kill mil's dog cause he is a puppy gets excitd and tinkles. Then called my mil who is in hospital telling her she owes her $100 for a quilt spot peed on. Mil is in hospital by the way. Tuesday oughta be a hoot while we are all up there for her surgery. Maybe a jerry springer brawl at the hospital. I got a new camera so I will get pics for ya. LOL.
This was the worst night ever. I have never seen so much rain spin off from hurricane. Our roads are impassible. I lost power, then the phone line while talking to aphena. Luckily it came back on in the night. I went to bed and I be damned if the roof didnt start pouring water in on top of me. I made hubby move my bed so it didnt get ruined. I slept in the living room floor. UGH hopefully today is better.

So glad to hear everyone is ok from Ike. :-)

Beautiful quilt! Amazing work! You should be very proud! I started my first quilt when I was about 23 and it took me almost 10 years to finish it. It's the 8 point star. I love it though! I have it on my bed and it's beautiful!

Glad you were able to finish it, it's a HUGE task! But one well worth it in the end!

SO glad to hear everyone is doing okay with the storm and all. Sorry to hear about some losing power, phones, having leaks, losing a roof, barn, etc. I am just happy to hear you are all okay.

Our neighbors and and her sister and her husband, along with my husband and I had a Mexican supper lastnight! Each weekend we have a different themed supper! It's a lot of fun! We each bring a couple of things and pig out! There's always SO much food though! I brought a chili with garlic bread! Everything was so yummy!

NO WAY not last night. No pup stealing or horse thieving. There was a huge rattlesnake laying in the road when we come home. He got washed out by all the rain. I am afeared of rattlesnakes.


After being accussed of stealing the pups, the next day another nut came up and demanded for us to give her dads horse cause she said we stole it from her. lmao

The quilt was lovely. I forgot to mention that too. I love it. my grandma and her sisters used to make quilts.

Wonder when they are going to take down the contest and announce the winners?
But in the meantime almost time for me to do another round of voting :)

Oh and I love the quilt love the colors wish I could make quilts but I don't think I could make one if someone else did it for me lol

I am working on one for my grandson but it is definetly a much simpler pattern than that, this will be my 1st quilt (see I am trying to be positive)lol

:lolsign: Shoot! My secret is out! :lolsign: Why use dull boring colors when there is so much pretty fabric in the shops? Actually, I think I was color deprived as a child. We didn't have all of the pretty bright and hot colors in our crayola boxes in the 60's that the kids have now. I just love all of the pretty colors! I'm too old to wear them, but I can certainly enjoy them when I "play" with my quilting fabrics! I wish the colors had photographed "true". They are prettier in person than in the pic.
