WOOHOO !!! They just did a commercial for the fair, which starts tonight. New foods featured at the fair this year will be ...
fried Oreo's
fried Snicker's
and drumroll please ....
authentic Canadian poutine !!!!!!!!!!
I'm not going until Thursday, but this will be the first thing I do when I get there, is try the poutine. They listed the ingredients as french fries, gravy, and mozarella cheese. Is this really authentic?

YAY - Authentic Canadian Poutine!!
You will have to tell us if they used curds or not. If they don't complain and ask for your money back. LOL

Well, I think that story about the cat put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. I just don't understand how/why someone could do that.

I kinda hope they don't use real curds. I can't stand cottage cheese, and aren't curds like cottage cheese?
Anyway, I can't wait to try it.

All these cat pictures and stories make me wish we could have a pet. I am highly allergic to pet hair of any kind. I tried medicine, but it didn't help much. The good thing is that the kids and hubby understand, and we have friends with lots of pets, so they get their fix at the friend's houses.
Although my 3 year old wants a fish, but only so she can let it swim in the toilet. LOL

People like this are scary. We had a couple of psychopaths-in-training break into a house here in Alberta and do something horrible to the family pet. When they interviewed the Mom she said it wasn't "Johnny's" fault. He was really a good boy. Oh, and that time he threw gasoline on his brother and lit him on fire resulting in a four month stay in a burn ward..that was just an accident. He's just misunderstood.
I saw a picture of one of the kids he looked like a really nice kid. Good looking, well groomed, makes you shudder

Don't have time to reply to all the new messages, but I put up the three 250 point words that Marjem posted onto our "Old" weeklys... she said (And I agree) that they are probably the words from the partner sites that we never found. Make sure you claim them! (Fabulous, Prepare, Popular) I have a feeling that they expire tomorrow.
Both kids are miserable with colds today, and I can feel one coming on myself. Kids with colds are such sad little things... I think I might make some homemade chicken soup to soothe everyone's sad noses and throats.
HAHAHA.. NSangel, whenever I hear someone say "Cat house" I always think of the naughty kind of cat house, so which kind do we live in??? LMAO
I'm off to clean, and make soup, and wipe little noses. Love to all!

VERY ADDICTIVE! Especially if it's amazing poutine. We have a fry truck close to my work that makes the best poutine (in my opinion!). The girl gets the curds right from Montreal, her sister sends them down. I could eat them every day. I had never eaten them my whole life because I thought that they were made with beef gravy and I can't stand that stuff, but these are made with the best gravy. Ohhh man, I want some right now!
armh . . . Cheese curds are definitely nothing like cottage cheese, just picture little clumps of mozzarella cheese that taste delicious!
Love the cat stories everyone! My Sebastian looks a lot like the other b&w kitties that have been posted and he is a little devil (well actually pretty big at close to 20 lbs!). I can't leave anything out or he'll get into it! A couple weeks ago I was awakened in the middle of the night to loud commotion to discover he had gotten his head stuck in the handle of a plastic bag that had a box of microwave popcorn in it that I had left on the table. He had managed to drag the popcorn behind the couch and got stuck so he had to chew his way loose. He still had the handle around his neck when I found him. I didn't find it funny at the time but now I can look back and laugh. I'm just glad that he wasn't hurt, just a little spooked. Now I don't leave anything in a bag on the table. lol

now that is a repost!
we're so glad when ur able to pop in and say hi!
i did not know. thanks for the warning. my old cat goes out and comes right back in, she only goes far enuf to poop in the grass. but will let hubby know.
yes, the ppl that do these kind of things may have what's called conduct disorder. now my son is odd (oppositional defiant disorder), in 60% of cases it can turn into conduct disorder. I am so lucky that my kid is not this bad, and i have a heads up and he's being treated for his ADHD (odd can go with ADD, as a coping strategy, but there are no meds for ODD). so when ryan's really ODD (mouthy, and refusing to do stuff), i always freak because of what i know about CD.
NO. unless it's mozarella cheese curds. it has to be curds. they're soft and melt just so much so they still have bite to them. enjoy! i'll make up the spare bedroom incase you want to defect..deflect? defecate? what's the word??
omg the poor thing! just a note to all pet owners, as i have read this. do not leave cereal boxes etc lying around, anything with a plastic bag inside. dogs, cats whatever can get their head stuck in there, and there have been cases where it did not work out so good.
luv all yer cat stories, lurv all you guys. i just got through a few rounds of voting, my internet is still wonky,so if i cut out on yas, it's because i've biffed the computer out the 2nd story window...
