I have never used one either, I barely know how to use my debit, mainly cause they charge me $1 everytime I use it or take money out of the bank grr

if you won it you get to go to dinner. i have a mc like that its reloadable, i use it for travel and internet buys. with mine you just swipe it its a debit card and you sign a copy. don't lose it, anyone can basically use it. the good news however you don't have to worry about identity theft/fraud, and they can only take whats on the card. keep the card after its a good safe way to shop online

just reading the fine print. the card is NOT reloadable. (damn).
i have to pay 3% of the transaction amt plus whatever the xchange rate is because it is a US one. (how much is the xchange rate?? are we about equal?). so there's 15 bucks gone already. (3% of 500).
i hope it don't all get sucked up into fees. i gotta find the xchange rate...
wait..i'm confused.. my money is in US funds, the transactions are in canadian..don't they have to convert to cnd??? argh, too damn confusing..
"if a card is used to make a purchase outside the US, visa will convert the local currency amt of transaction to US$
okay...
i'm screwed right?
nice seek! you gonna post a pic for us?

hmm i think our canadian dollar is .97 in american so you lose 3cent on every dollar if you were to spend all 500 now

i hope i did that right so if you spent all the money today you would lose 30 on that 500 I think for the 3% amt whatever that is then the exchange rate

rose, i think it works out the other way. it says they are converting the purchases to american dollars.
so $100 canadian purchase, cost 96.63 in US$. so they don't take as much off my card.
but when they add on the 3% conversion fee, it puts it almost back up to $100.
so i should be ok.
