Nesters $ 1.49 day sale - weekly

The new Nesters store at the old Woodwards downtown has weekly $ 1.49 day specials. I get their flyer in the mail (I work nearby) and will try to remember to post their weekly sales in the deals forum. You can get a store card that accumulates 1% of each sale for future purchases. I spent $ 37 there yesterday and got a whopping $ .37 on my card, lol. That $ 37 would have been over $ 60 at Safeway. The receipt shows your savings item by item. Some of the $ 1.49 items were a carton of OJ, 5 lb bag of organic carrots, Corn Flakes, regular size pack of bacon, fresh whole pineapple. They have 100% natural peanut butter on for $ 1.49 to the end of December. Also theres another flyer with coupons for 2 free items per week with a minimum purchase of $ 25. So yesterday I got a free bag of salad, the other coupon this week is for a liter of milk. Flyer is in store by customer service. Oh and they also have a contest to win a years worth of groceries.

Hi Crimsbabe,Did you notice if Nester's has a lot of product coupons there? (on the shelf; in the aisles)? Is it a good place for coupon hunting?!

I've just been once to the new store but yeah, I've been doing double takes on the $1.49 specials!

It's now going to be on my circuit... I can hit Costco, Rexall, T&T Supermarket, London Drugs, Nester's and Army and Navy all in one go. At least it gets me some exercise! I'll try to be on the lookout for the coupons and other specials and such at the new store.

I haven't seen many coupons at Nesters but if that changes I'll post here. They do take all coupons, but I haven't tried using coupons on $ 1.49 items yet. The flyer should come in today's mail, I'll post the deals in the deals forum. Yes, its a good place for a downtown circuit !! I work downtown and sometimes when I just need a walk I'll cruise Rexall, TNT and the new LD for coupons. Costco only accepts their own coupons.

Is this similar or part of the same food company as the Nestor's up in Whistler (found their prices were a bit high since I wasn't a local)? Also, any idea what the store hours are (would I be able to go shop there "after" going to a Canucks game when we get out around 9:20 pm? Thanks.
