I need everyone’s thoughts please... I will also be calling P&G for their input as well..<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
So today I was using a few of the P&G coupons ($9, $5 and $2 ones off the Olays), I get to the cashier after waiting 15 mins in line and the lady just looks at the $5 coupon and looks at me and says :"I can't use the $5 coupon on this!", I asked her "WHY?" , then she says "because I can't, talk to a manager, this product is only $2.77"...<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
I told her that the coupon says "when you buy 2" ...then she enters a bunch of stuff in the register frantically & in total confusion, and gets the total to be $5.75 after ringing in 2 Olays and she looks at me as if asking for approval....I told her :what? are you saying I have to pay $5.75 for the 2 products? it says save $5 off 2 Olay's ! ...then she leaves and comes back in 3 minutes with an older lady (in the meantime there is a huge lineup and some people leave the line for another ...OH WELL
<?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=_x0000_t75 stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" o:preferrelative="t" o:spt="75" coordsize="21600,21600"><v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke><v:formulas><v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f></v:formulas><v:path o:connecttype="rect" gradientshapeok="t" o:extrusionok="f"></v:path><o:lock aspectratio="t" v:ext="edit"></o:lock></v:shapetype>, I want my deal!) <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Older lady tells me that I can only use one coupon per purchase, and says that this means I can only use one coupon per transaction..... she even said that I couldn't use my other coupons for other products (non P&G coupons) in the same transaction! ...I told her that she can ring them in separately then, and then said are you telling me that I need to go out and come back in the store??! I kept telling her that one coupon per purchase meant that you can't stack and not that it's per transaction or else it would say "per visit" , then the Older lady goes over the the customer service /returns desk...and the cashier tells me to go over to customer service /returns area and that they will ring in my order separately and that she doesn't have time to do all the coupons ! ....(THERE IS A LONG LINE UP IN CUSTOMER SERVICE /RETURNS AREA-----I am pissed
) I tell the cashier to put my products back into my buggy then as I wasn't going to fill it up again after emptying it all out! <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
I walk over to CUSTOMER SERVICE AREA, and see the Older lady talk to a Manager ? and she points to me and he asks me what was going on...He tells me that I can only use one coupon per transaction and that P&G won't reimburse them the money if they see all the products on one receipt ! I tell him that I have done this many times before and its never been a problem, he says that the cashiers have done it incorrectly and still sticks to his story,...I say that I want them on separate orders then...he then says :"we will do this one time only on one receipt, I will just have to work on separating them after, this will cause work for me but I will do it" ...and makes me wait 25 minutes in line !...
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
I spent a total of 1 hour waiting in line/talking about my coupons to three different people /getting them to ring it all up. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
I personally think I was given BS and I intend on calling P&G tomorrow to ask them if they really refuse reimbursement to the store if the products are on one receipt....as I strongly feel that the one coupon per purchase is referring to "no stacking of coupons is possible"...am I wrong??

Someone already posted P&G's idea of what the policy is, but regardless, stores do not have to accept coupons and can make their own rules. Most of the major stores' policies clearly state they deem one per purchase to mean one per transaction.
Right on the coupons it states that they have to show they had sufficient stock, so I dont think they have to send each receipt (although I am sure they can be audited and asked for receipts).
However, P&G's policy probably means nothing to them because if Campbells, Christies and Dove all have a policy stating one per purchase means one per transaction, the store needs one policy to follow, not 20 and an OMG what do I do moment when they see a coupon from a company they don't know the specific policy of and I know when contacting another company they agreed with the store that it was one per transaction.
That is why I really think they should do away with the language on the one per purchase coupons and state one per transaction or one per item only, make life easier on us, the stores and themselves

That sucks. I lucked out, my cashier didn't even read the coupons. I told her what they were, and she took my word for it and rang them in lol. I was shocked!
