Mercy just make sure you document EVERYTHING...I got sole custody of my kids when ex dh was abusive, but we do have joint guardianship...he has changed though in the last 9 years and is a new man, but I still will leave it all as it is.
If you need advice pm me, I've been thru it all with the ex.

You don;t have to keep your child away from him to be granted sole custody...I never kept the kids from dh, they went there every weekend...but the court granted me full custody.
