I wouldn't stay you should say in, but I would want to know why it did not get done in class time

Teachers these days, my mum is having a huge argument with the one she shares her class with. They have grade 1, grade 1/2 and grade 2, she has grade 1/2 so she needs to work with both teachers to ensure the kids pass the standardised testing for their respective years. But the two teachers have very different teaching skills, the grade 1 teacher is all about learning through play and the grade 2 teacher is old school and they both whine to my mum in front of kids about the other teacher. SO freaking unprofessional getting another teacher involved to begin with but in front of kids.

The grade 2 teacher came in and said 'thats why half the grade 2 kids are dumb enough to have to share a grade 1 class'

wow that comment was uncalled for my youngest ds has a severe speech delay and is stuggiling with school work so maybe i'm taking this comment to great offence but that's her job is to teach these kids so they can learn if one of my boys teachers ever made that comment i think i would slap the witch

someone was telling me today that they are changing the Feb family day holiday to nov 11th instead for next year oh wait that would be the year after no i dunno

Nancy, my mum was POed and it takes a lot to get her angry. Most of the grade 2 kids she has are ones with developmental problems, the UK's new idea to take away specialised schools and integrate them into the public school system so people see them as normal because they are exposed. Which is fine, except some of them need the extra one on one attention. My mum finds the above average grade 1 students are above the level of the grade 2 students so they get bored and its just not working out, add on the fact they have standardised testing, the teachers all have completely different teaching styles and the kids are just confused.

My mum has taught there for 10 years and now wants to leave because of it

what a shame about your mom why is that all the good teachers leave and the crappy ones stay i'm so fed up with the school system right now it's not even funny i'm always having to bite my tongue with some of them for fear that my little guy will suffer the concequences of my actions sorry i'm in really pissy mood today
