Not yet but I remembered my BF had an old tower that we stored so I tweeked it to run! I might just swipe the power supply from this tower and throw it into mine OR swap the hard drives. I have to do a lil reading before I attempt this. LOL I haven't built a computer in over 7yrs. My knowledge is now obsolete.

power supply you can easily swap over with out a problem .. but make sure the old power supply is not too low compare to your "dead" one

They can be but if you are not running a gaming puter with a load of extras and hard core graphics card, a basic one works fine

I used to build my own puters but I've un-geekified over the years. I don't trust the GeekSquad (they're idiots with adult acne)
I have a guy in a backwoods shop that'll be able to fix it for next to nothing.
