Let me share a story from the rescuer at the high kill shelter today

When I got to the shelter this morning, there was blood all over the cage from where he tore his feet on the bars. His face has been broken open and was bleeding from pressing himself against the bars. I feel as desperate and he looks to get him out of the cage. When I picked him up, he put his paws around my neck. I tried to lean him back into his cage and he wouldn't go. I had to pry him off my neck.

We both cried when I left. I'm so worried that they're going to euthanize him tomorrow morning because he's so upset in his cage.

Thats why people react the way Mercy did, this poor cat is stuck in a cage thats barely 2ft each way, and he will die tomorrow because he is scared because an owner didnt take responsibility

Oh and for the record, I wouldn't care if it was a palace, I would never ever ever move somewhere that did not accept my pets. Its my home and Ontario's laws state that pets must be allowed in rentals because its a basic right to be allowed to keep your pets

People ask me all the time when they see Leo, "oh, you're allowed to have pets in this building?" uh yeah! Everyone is!

does that apply to Quebec also? one time someone refused pets because they are more noisy and hard to care for than babies. many pets gets left because people move and find out they are not allowed..

You can be asked to leave if your pet infringes on your neighbours enjoyment of their own property but they cant decide that beforehand. Its an ontario law but QC may have the same ones
