Returning Diapers

My ds has blown through his current size of diapers, leaving us with a few unopened packs that came as gifts. Any suggestions as to a store that would let us exchange them for the next size up (or return them so we can buy the next size up ourselves)? He's our third, and we're not planning on having anymore so there's no point saving them! Thanks!

I'd say that if there is a particular store that you frequent most often where they may know and recognize you would be your best bet. Its probably most likely that you would only be able to exchange sizes instead of getting a refund.
If you're not able to return them, diapers are always needed at the food bank or other shelters.

Here in NS, Sobeys, Superstore and Walmart were always good about making an exchange without a receipt. SDM though, forget it!

here, z and wm are wonderful with this type of return. Without a receipt they will put it on a gc.

Once, I had the easiest time, actually returned 2 boxes, no problem!
But the past 2 times (DD went through growth spurts) I got the same lady, and boo, was she RUDE!
I called the first time to complain, and I guess nothing was done about it, cause I got her the second time, just as rude!

WM is by far the easiest, but make sure it's a package that they sell! I received a box of diapes as a gift one time and they were too small, didn't know where they were from so I tried to take them back to WM and the lady said they didn't carry that kind of package (it didn't scan in their system). So I had to sell them on kijiji and get way less than what they were worth....

Yup... Walmart will do it no Qs asked.. even with no receipt.

I bought a bunch on sale but Minime outgrew them. I returned 3 packs of sz 2s and got 2 sz3s and a sz 4.

RCSS was good for this, again provided that they carried the same package size/type/brand. Had no problem exchanging for the next size up.

I tried returning diaper and couldn't they said I can exchange for the same brand well turns out the size I need they didn't have, was all sold out. So asked if i could get another brand and was told that I would have to pay the difference. But this was at walmart.

Wow, I guess it depends on which CSR you get at WM!! I just popped in and said I wanted to return/exchange the diapers, and she said I could either go grab the new ones and exchange them right then, or put it on a gift card and get the diapers another time. Since my DH was in the car with all three kids, I opted for the latter. Thanks for all the input everyone!!
