Does the child tax benefit come in early for people in Ontario considering Monday the 20th is family day and there is no banks or anything open?
Has anyone received the CTB today? I had assumed Monday being a STAT holiday in Ontario it would have gone in today (Friday) but it has not gone into my bank account yet.....checking the CRA website it says Monday the 20th, but how can that be Monday the banks will be closed?
I have a funny feeling it will be Saturday
I didn't receive mine, I'm hoping it does come in before Monday but I rarely ever get anything on the weekend. We might all be outta luck till Tuesday :(
Depending on what bank you're through it should be there Saturday. I'm in NS and with Royal Bank and everytime Child Tax is due on a Monday we get it the Saturday before.

If its a DD from CRA, Most probably it should come on Monday itself since family day is not a national federal holiday..its only a provincial holiday in some provinces.Quote:

For DIrect Deposit banks need not be open. Only the retail branches are closed, behind the scenes its pretty much a 24/7 - 365 day operation at the banks:)Quote:

I hope so because this month is tight due to circumstances beyond control. I bank at the Royal and have never received anything on weekends unless I put it there lol

OEPTC credit to be deposited on March 9 . You get it even if you rent , you don't have to own.

The OEPTC , OSTC and NOEC will be lumped together and the monthly payments will start in July -2012 to June - 2013. ( see link below )Quote:

It will give you the payment for the entire year, so DIVIDE it by 12 to get your monthly OTB payments :)
The GST/HST payments won't be lumped together , they will still be seperate and you will still get them qtrly in Jan , April , July and Oct. , usually on the 5 th of that month ( qtrly )

Yes, all the provincial tax credits go to the monthly Trillium system (seniors are so unhappy at this delay on their refund this tax year because the seniors may have a taxes payable outcome on income tax returns when the expectations are for refunds-pay now, get later ). Federal tax credits remain quarterly.
HST/GST qtrly deposit/credit on April 5 :)

From Jully , 2012 the new monthly OTB ( Ontario Trillium Benefit ) will start .
May 10, 2012 OSTC payment .
May 10 , OSTC will be deposited . ..this coming Thursday :)
