I hate being attached to the pump, but very happy to get so many points that I can use - makes being a diabetic a little less painful I suppose.
So I would have bought the SDM GCs anyways for my over the counter purchases. We drive alot, so also bought quite a few ESSO cards, and others (Cineplex as we go to the movies alot) and some for gifts that I was going to buy anyways).
In fact, if another SDM has more ESSO cards tomorrow (last day) I will scoop them up too.
My VISA card also gives me a 50% increase in aeroplan points when I shop at grocery, drug stores and gas stations, so I collect like mad on these too.
But I am shopping alot more strategically at SDM these days - esp on grocery and household items that I would have bought at the grocery store - when they are on sale esp.
