I would love to hear from people that are using swagbucks. Do you participate in their surveys as well? Does it give you a decent number of points for the time you spend on these surveys? I just joined swagbucks but am a little lost on their site. Any pointers would be muchly appreciated...

I don't do anything other the search and grab the occasional special code from the blog... I do have several referrals, so that does help with my earnings, but it isn't huge, as most have maxed out or don't participate.

I do everything..the NOSO offer daily, the daily poll, the swagbucks survey for extra points (usually 200-300 points, but hard to qualify)...I get about 2 Amazon.com 5.00 gc's a month, sometimes I get a 10.00 Starbucks gc...
It's worth it, and I use the searchbar everyday and mostly can get about 3-4 bonus points a day of between 9-15 points....idk, to me it is worth it if you're searching the net anyways..I have been a member for over a year now.

Check out this thread

for hints and stuff. Like the fact that there's a code on the blog right now for 5 bucks!! til 4:30 PDT
my best trick is to use swagbucks as your home page and use it to search to get to any site you want to go. do this 3 times a day (a few searches til you win, plus do the daily polls, trusted surveys, and NOSO - just visit them - to get afew extra points. and of course, check the smartcanucks thread every so often for code alerts!). Oh and you can watch 3-4 swagbucks TV videos and then you get a popup of 5 bucks. I think you can do this about 3 times a day. I too get 2 amazon $5 e-GC per week. Used to get more when i had lots of referrals but no longer.
it's great - why not get free amazon gift cards for whatever you want! can be used towards shipping too. it makes me so happy - i got free shoes, books, necklace, and earphones from amazon!

YES!!I didn't believe it at first,it took me a few times to come back to it and neither do most of my referals believe it to tell the truth, lol. It says I have 20 referals but only 2 have ever stuck with swagbucks. You can get the first 1000 they earn and all i did was put my referal link in my signature here on SC.
If you are already using google to search everything,it is the same thing except you are earning gift cards for it.
The surveys are harder to qualify lately, but you can also let some videos run and earn 5 for every5-10 video your watch as well. I also earn on average $10 in amazon gift cards per month.
Useing it as your homepage is your best bet.Last edited by kris10; Thu, Nov 4th, 2010 at 09:13 PM.

I use the search engine all the time and try to remember to complete the surveys and polls too. So far I've redeemed for 2-$5 Amazon.ca gc and I've only been using it about a month or so.

Yes, Swagbucks is all good.
I don't often get surveys (and when they do appear I often get disqualified). I earn my Swag from searching and from codes, and a few referrals. I have quite a few referrals actually, but the majority either never used it, used it for a bit and then quit, and a good-sized group have maxed out and don't earn me anymore. Most of my referrals came from Facebook, many of my friends signed up under me.
I'm pretty close to the $500 mark in Amazon gift cards now. I redeemed for my first one in March 2009, so that's not bad. Free money!

Well, I don't have an account yet, but I'm considering joining. I'd like to use someone's referral link, but I don't know how to be fair about it. I accept bribes
Anyone willing to "trade" any coupons for me to sign up with their referral link??

Whats the difference in signing up under someones referal and just going to the website?
I mean i know that if i sign up under someone then they'll get points or something...but to the newbie is there a difference??
Oh well, hopefully you get what i'm trying to say....i think my brain is turning into mush
