Thread: Free Lip Infusion Brag + RANT

This is my first brag
I've been saving money since may but never felt my brags were worthy as an actually BRAG compared to other savers, who do a wonderful job each shopping trip. Whereas I usually use 2 coupons per shopping trip and never knew how much I saved last year. This year im calculating how much I am saving.
So went today to WM looking for the Tide to Go mini's for 50cents. I found only one
but atleast I got it.
Then I PM'ed Green Giant from Food Basics. They were 1.99. I used the coupon where you buy one get one free.
Then I so Blistex Lip Infusion next to the Tide to Go, that was 50 cents so I bought that for 57cents. My first cashier was very nice she smiled when I handed her the coupons
Went to go get another one and the price came up as 3.97. I told the representative that it was 50 cents. She told me to take the manager. The manager agreed and i asked her about SCOP, she said what is that? when she clearly knew what that was. Then the cashier said what was the price and the manager said it was 50cents, and give her (me) scop. THe cashier said what is scop? she said just give her for 50 cents. I honestly don't mind paying 50 cents for the lipbalm but they were trying to cheat me out of getting my free lipbalm. SO this cashier told me to go to another cashier where the manager was standing. And when the cashier was putting it through the cashier seemed pretty lost. When the manager was putting it through the cashier was refusing to do it. In the end she took me to CS where they gave it to me for free. Well most of the cashiers dont know what scop is, or how to input it as i saw first hand today.
Anyway I dont like couponing at WM because they are so rude when it comes to it but i feel like this shopping
2 x 1.99 Green Giant - 1.99 = 1.99
1 x 0.50 Tide to Go mini - 0.50 = FREE
1 x 0.57 Blistex Lip Infusion = 0.57
1x 3.96 Blisten Lip Infusion - SCOP = FREE
TOTAL = 2.63 OOP
Quite good savings. This month I have saved 46.87. Which I personally feel is quite good since its only the 3rd week of January. I usually just calculate the coupons + SCOP use.

oh no! usually chapstick only has an expiry date if there is spf in it, because the sun protection works less over time.

Good for you. I looked for some Mini Tide to go but no luck. I find at Wallmarts to try going to different cashiers each time. You will soon find which ones are really good and which ones to avoid.

If I notice that the price rings in higher I pay for it then make sure the bar code matchs to the lower price then I go to Customer service and get my money back,at Walmart they have the SCOP policy right on the counters at CS and the sides of the tills and the entrance doors so yes they know about SCOP,and yes Walmart is very hard at times to deal with when useing coupons.

The lipbam is not expired, all products that have an SPF in them have to be labeled with an expiry date. The SPF may not work right, but the product is still fine. So you going to go back to get your 50 cents, I thought you got that one for free?

thanks for the comments
, i actually bought one first cause i thought 50 cents is to good a deal to pass up since i use lip balm all year round (its actually a nuisance, anyone know a cure? lol vaseline doesn't work and neither does anything else so all year round everyday i use it. Got a lip blam collection) then i decided let me get another one i can use after i finish this one. There were only 3 haning on the shelf. One was empty..guess someone stole it. The other i just purcahsed for the sale price. And the last one i was going to purchase scanned at a higher price. So i got one for free and paid 57 cents for the last one.
