Stopped in after work on Thursday. Almost no meat left. 15% off of everything in the store but no flyer prices posted any longer. Heard that they are bringing no more stock in.

One of hubby's friends posted this on FB and I was surprised to hear that they were closing at the end of the year. Not surprised that they are closing but just that it's so soon. I'll miss having it there as it's the closet CO-OP to me now it's either Rothesay or GrandBay :-( Will be worth checking out though on a weekly base to see if there are any deals.

It's now 40% off the regular price at Co-Op. I went yesterday, but was really disappointed. The regular prices are really quite high on a lot of things, and 40% off was no better than a sale price elsewhere (some were even worse!) I ended up getting a couple of baking supplies that I needed for today anyway, but they weren't great deals or anything.

I agree. I went there yesterday and had a calculator out the whole time I was in there. I did use coupons so that made the total bill about 50% off. There were still some things that I wouldn't touch like pop or cheese. They were way more expensive than No Frills or Sobeys even with the 40% off.

I was there on Saturday and I was also disappointed with their prices :-( It seemed that their prices were higher than what they were before?????

I really tried to support them even prior to the new Sobeys opening up however I found the prices were way too high. When prices started to become reasonable, I think it was too late. Now with the store closing they have jacked the prices up again to compensate for the percentages off????
